Alison Williams has more than 25 years' experience of delivering supportive and innovative services for young people to enable them to make successful transitions into adulthood. Alison has worked in formal and informal educational settings and her experience gained from providing frontline services has led her to develop person-centred, holistic approaches to service delivery. Alison is currently seconded to Gloucestershire County Council as the Interim Director of Children’s Services.

Alison has worked with Gloucestershire County Council since 2008 leading our largest contract for young people. The Gloucestershire Youth Support Team is an integrated young people’s service, working with the most vulnerable young people including looked after children, young people leaving care and youth offending services. Alison has led Prospects' Children’s Services division through major changes in government policy, redesigning and restructuring failing services to achieve positive results for young people, our partners and productivity. Alison is an advocate for working in partnership with commissioning authorities creating long term, workable solutions that put young people at the heart of what we do. Under Alison’s leadership Prospects Young People’s division now works with more than 20 local authorities across the country.

Alison joined Prospects in 2000 as an operations manager in Bexley, during her career with Prospects she has managed a number of the company’s corporate services including ICT, HR, quality, equalities and corporate social responsibility. Alison has experience of managing a charity and working with voluntary and community sector organisations to build capacity and develop services.

Alison strongly believes in Prospects values and purpose to inspire people to develop their potential. We measure our success by their achievements, the increase in confidence, improvement in the skills they need and seeing them grow into resilient adults able to form trusting relationships, be personally successful and enjoy their future lives.”
