Nikki*, 22, had been unemployed for a number of months before she joined the Work Programme and gained an agency job but when that concluded Nikki came back to Prospects.
Ryan, 26, joined the Work Programme delivered by Prospects, the employment, education and skills company, in October 2014. Up to that point Ryan had been out of work for two years due to ill health and had lost his confidence.
Monica joined the Work Programme delivered by Prospects at New Year, 2015. Having previously claimed JobSeekers Allowance Monica was working part time but needed additional hours.
Alex, aged 35, lives in a rural location in Cornwall. Cornwall has very poor transport links and Alex found it difficult to travel distances for work, becoming isolated.
Bill lives at home. He has been identified as having Asperger’s and this means that Bill, as he was brought up, believed that his role was to stay at home and to care for the family’s pet dog.
