Prospects Services are the Area Based Contractor for the National Careers Service in three areas: London, the South West and the West Midlands. We also provide the service in South Yorkshire, as part of the Careers Yorkshire and the Humber Consortium.
The National Careers Service provides information, advice and guidance to help individuals make decisions on learning, training and work opportunities. The service offers confidential and impartial advice. This is supported by qualified careers advisers.
An exciting addition and important part of the National Careers Service is the Inspiration Agenda. The role of the Inspiration Agenda is to broker relationships between schools, colleges and employers creating links between industry and educational institutions. The focus of our efforts is to inspire young people to think about their future careers.
Through inspiring events organised by the schools and colleges, employers are able to engage with young people through activities such as:
- Industry Insight, talks about a sector or industry
- Routes into work, talks about Apprenticeships, University or School Leaver programmes
- Work place visits, young people visit and meet real people in real jobs at work
- Employers attending Career Fairs
- Mock Interviews delivered by employers
